When I first started looking for a quality MP3 player, I wanted something affordable and easy to work with. The TH1702 (also called the RCA Pearl) provided what I needed so it’s the model I chose due to the price point. All I needed was a function music player and extra features were not something I cared about so for $40 this seemed like an excellent solution. Though it says it can hold around 600 songs, I tend to buy longer songs so mine is holding around half that amount along with the audio books it came with. You will get MP3s installed on this player, but I did not found any of these to be anything I wanted to listen to. Packaged along with the player was an earbud, but I do not like these either so I can’t verify the quality of that set.

The EasyRip software that comes with this player makes it extremely easy to transfer songs even if you have never done so before. Along with the ability to play music, you also get a voice recorder and an FM radio that works surprisingly well. Overall, especially considering the price, this is an extremely good bargain that has held up well to my daily use.
